Come along to the museum after-hours for an evening of crafts, archives, musical bingo and live music at the latest instalment of Discovery Nights: Made at the Museum.  

• Friday 25th September
• 6pm - 9pm

This hands-on evening will give you time to create to your heart's content.

With a bar and more craft activities than you can wave a crochet hook at, from lace bobbin making to Gelli plate printmaking - all topped off with live folk music. 

Featuring: 

• Live music from Newcastle's teen folk sensations, guitar and fiddle duo Coled Lore (8.30pm) 
• Try a ‘red list’ heritage craft - bobbin lacemaking with Northumbria Lacemakers
• Japanese calligraphy and origami tasters
• Victorian fashion - make braided soutache dress embellishments
• Explore material from Tyne & Wear Archives  
• Musical Bingo in the cafe 
• Explore and try sustainable gift wrapping
• Try Gelli plate printmaking using acrylics  
• Get stuck into collage badge making 
• Bar and food available in the cafe.

Embrace the hand-made vibe in this after-hours evening of mindfulness with a museum twist.
